Seed & Sprout is Sophie Kovic’s fourth business. It has faced serious financial difficulties in 2022 and 2023.
Sophie states that Seed & Sprout has suffered losses of $600,000 in the first half of 2023 and that the business has applied for a loan to stay solvent.
She also stated that the company has a significant tax debt and was struggling to stay afloat with significant losses in 2022.
In 2023, Sophie Kovic also has $500,000 in unpaid directors loans from Seed & Sprout. Originally the loan was $700,000 which was used for the purchase and construction of her property at The Channon. In addition to this, Sophie Kovic has a substantial personal taxation debt.

In a message to a friend, in 2022, Sophie Kovic admitted that she had lost confidence in the company and did not know which course of action to take. Sophie has stepped away from the management of Seed & Sprout and hired a succession of CEO’s instead.
